MCSI Educational Videos

The Midland Centre for Spinal Injuries (MCSI) Therapy Team and Medical Illustration Department have created a series of educational videos for spinal injury patients.

These videos are designed to support patients, carers, and families by providing essential guidance on techniques and procedures that can aid in daily care and promote well-being for individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI). Each video addresses specific activities, exercises, or medical procedures relevant to the needs of individuals with different levels of spinal cord injury.

The level of spinal cord injury can greatly influence an individual's mobility, sensation, and functional needs. As a result, some of the techniques shown may be more applicable for those with higher-level injuries affecting the neck and upper spinal regions, while others may be useful for those with lower-level injuries. It is essential to consult with your healthcare providers to understand which exercises and techniques are best suited to the specific injury level of each individual.
