Launching digital letters for RJAH patients
Posted: 16 Apr 2026
We are pleased to confirm that we are expanding our partnership with DrDoctor to enhance our communication with patients - and are next week (Tuesday 21 April) launching a new digital letters service across many of our specialities.
From Tuesday (21 April), patients will start to receive a text message from DrDoctor, who provide a secure online platform on our behalf to manage your appointments. Texts will give a link to our patient portal, where you will be able to login to read and download a patient letter. You will receive a text message with a link each time you have a new appointment letter to read.
While this service is intended to make life easier for patients, we understand that it will not be suitable for all. If you do not view your letter online within a specified time period, or if we do not hold a valid mobile phone number for you on record, you will be sent a paper letter as usual.
You will receive text messages from this RJAH trusted number: +44 7860 039092.
Rest assured, this is a genuine and secure number. Please note, you cannot reply to this number.
You can also log on to the DrDoctor online patient portal, where you can view your appointments, access any assessments or questions the hospital has sent you. You can also receive important information about your visit to our hospital via text messages and email.
Further Information
You can find more information about this service on the dedicated DrDoctor page on our website.
We also have a Frequently Asked Questions page, that can advise you on common issues and concerns.
