Welcome to Powys Ward

Powys Ward is a 24-bedded spinal disorder unit where we predominantly care for post operative patients who have had a spinal disorder surgery. Surgeries can include: TLIF, XLIF, ALIF, Discectomy, Decompression, ACDF, scoliosis correction and others. 

We also take emergency referrals for patients who have cauda equina syndrome (a rare but serious condition where the nerves at the base of the spine become compressed) and spinal tumor patients.

Visiting times

Visiting is permitted between 1:30pm - 5pm, and 6pm - 8pm.
