Medicines Safety

The RJAH Pharmacy Team also includes a dedicated Medicines Safety Officer (MSO), who is a registered nurse. Our MSO works closely with our pharmacy technicians and support staff to develop coordinated campaigns and audits.

The Medicines Safety Team promote the safe use of medicines within the Trust. They work to improve reporting and learning from medicines incidents through best practice methods such as the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF). 

The MO ensures that our services meet the CQC standards and high-risk medicines obligations.
