Mr Hill's interests include foot and ankle surgery and trauma as well as a wide range of conditions from bunions, keyhole surgery to the ankle and toe joint, conditions related to rheumatoid arthritis and the use of circular frames for tibial non-unions or mal-unions.

Mr Hill achieved his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) degree before going on to complete his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) examination in Trauma and Orthopaedics.

He was appointed to RJAH and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in October 2003.

Mr Hill trained at the University of Birmingham Medical School and did his basic surgical training in the Central Birmingham Teaching Hospitals rotation. He was then appointed Senior House Officer in Orthopaedics in the Royal United Hospital, Bath, before being appointed to the Oswestry and Stoke Training Rotation as an Specialist Registrar in Orthopaedics and Trauma. During his final year, Mr Hill spent time training visiting Harbourview, Seattle and the Ilizarov Institute at Kurgan, Russia when he developed a sub-speciality interest in Foot and Ankle Surgery.
