I am a substantive consultant orthopaedic hip and knee arthroplasty surgeon based at the world-renowned The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital (RJAH), Oswestry, alongside maintaining dedicated acute emergency trauma commitments at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

My academic foundations began at Madras Medical College, Chennai, India, where I graduated with a medical degree in 2011 as a highly decorated student, winning multiple medical university gold medals alongside top distinctions across key medical disciplines. My comprehensive postgraduate pathway includes an intensive orthopaedic residency at the pioneer PGIMER institute in Chandigarh, India, registrar jobs in West Midlands and North West of UK and a Master's degree from Edge Hill University in trauma and orthopaedics. I went on to refine my expertise through elite surgical fellowships at Broadgreen hospital, Liverpool and at Wrightington hospital—internationally regarded as the historical birthplace of hip replacement. My experience of working with the Veterans from 2018 has immensely helped me to become a key contributing consultant to the UK's largest dedicated Veterans' orthopaedic service at RJAH. Here, I combine my elective lower limb expertise with the state-of-the-art orthopaedic advances to deliver unparalleled service to the unique physical demands of veteran patients.

My lifelong dedication to surgical predictability, evidence-based research, and clinical excellence is underscored by a decorated peer-reviewed academic record. Most notably, I achieved the rare distinction of winning the prestigious international FRCS (T&O) JSCFE Gold Medal in 2019, adding to my previous university gold medals, and co-authored clinical studies that have received research awards including the John Charnley Gold Medal. My work is widely published across major peer-reviewed platforms, including Bone & joint open and the European journal of orthopaedic surgery & traumatology. Extending my skills to specialised demographics, my academic footprint includes serving as an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) instructor to train clinicians in emergency resuscitation and an active involvement in training and shaping future orthopaedic surgeons.
