Dr Gummaraju's clinical interests include anaesthesia for trauma and orthopaedics, regional anaesthesia, the management of difficult airways and medical education.
In 1986, Dr Gummaraju achieved his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Mysore in India. He went on to complete the Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) examination in London in 2006, before completing the FRCA CSI exam the same year in Dublin.
Dr Gummaraju joined RJAH in 2010.

Dr Gummaraju completed his anaesthetic training at the Warickshire School of Anaesthesia and in Bangalore, India. Previous to his appointment at RJAH, Dr Gummaraju is a former Lieutenant Colonel of thr Army Medical Corps in India. He is also the College Tutor and audit lead for the Anaesthetic department at RJAH.
