Theatre roles in the spotlight at exclusive Recruitment Day
Posted: 30 Apr 2026
Exciting Theatre roles at one of the best hospitals in the country will be in the spotlight at a special Recruitment Day on Sunday 31 May.
The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital will be staging the event in a bid to strengthen its world class Theatre team. Places must be reserved in advance, so early booking is advised.
Posts are available for non-registered Theatre Support Workers, Theatre Orderlies and Theatre Sterile Supply Unit (TSSU) Technicians, as well as registered Nurses and ODPs, across scrub, anaesthetics, and recovery. Opportunities include both permanent and bank positions.
The recruitment comes as the hospital continues work that will see it expand from 13 to 14 operating theatres – part of a focus on increasing activity levels and so helping to reduce waiting lists.
The day will be broken into two parts, with the morning (10am to 12 noon) being for registered practitioners, and the afternoon (12.30pm to 2.30pm) for non-registered staff.
Anyone attending must book in advance via MedTribe by going to https://medtribe.com/courses/theatres-recruitment-open-days.
Places will be strictly limited, and the opportunity to apply for available posts will be restricted to event attendees, so early booking is strongly encouraged for anyone who is interested. Once all places are booked, there will be no further opportunities to attend the day.
The event will be staged in the hospital’s Theatres department, with candidates having the opportunity to tour the space and see the environment they would be working in should they join the team.
Members of staff will be on hand to talk to attendees about their experience of working in the hospital’s Theatres department, and to answer any questions.
Anyone then wishing to proceed with an application will be sent a link after the event so that they can complete an online application form, with a virtual interview to follow within a week.
The event will give an insight of what it is like to work in an organisation rated Good by the Care Quality Commission and – as shown in the latest Adult Inpatient Survey – offers the highest standards of care and cleanliness.

Stacey Keegan, Chief Executive at RJAH, said: “This is a fantastic place to work, and I am extremely proud of the incredible feedback we get from our patients, who tell us regularly about the huge impact we make on their quality of life.
“RJAH is a growing hospital and we want to bring in the best people to help us on our journey.
“It’s an exciting time to be joining our Theatres team, as we continue the development of additional facilities that will bring us up to 14 operating theatres.
“I never cease to be inspired by the compassion, the care, and the skill of our full multi-disciplinary team within Theatres, and I look forward to this event helping us to develop even further.
