Planned road closure outside RJAH in November

Patients and visitors travelling to RJAH are advised of a planned road closure on Twmpath Lane, the road outside Entrance 2 at the hospital, from Monday 9 to Friday 20 November.

This closure is due to Severn Trent installing a new water supply, and the work will take place in two phases.

During the closure, there will no through-road access on Twmpath Lane and a signed diversion route will be in place. Access to the hospital entrance will be maintained at all times.

Please allow additional time for journeys during this time and follow the signed diversion routes.

• Phase one – During the first phase, starting Monday 9 November, Twmpath Lane will be closed on the left-hand side of the entrance to RJAH. This is expected to last approximately three days. Drivers accessing the hospital will need to approach via the B5009 Whittington Road.

• Phase two – The road will then be closed on the right-hand side of the hospital entrance. This is expected to take approximately nine days and will include weekend working on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November. Drivers accessing the hospital will need to approach via the A5 and B5069.
