A Digital Trainer at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital has been named the latest inner of the RJAH Stars Award, in recognition of her support for staff during the go-live of the new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system.
Hannah Winter, who is part of the Apollo EPR Team at the Oswestry-based hospital, was nominated by the Main Outpatients Department.
Apollo EPR went live back in May, replacing other patient administration systems used across the hospital in a bid to integrate digital records of patient care, drawing together information from multiple systems.
Liz Reece, Main Outpatients Manager, said: “On behalf of the wider team, we wanted to thank Hannah and let her know how much we appreciate what she has done for our staff, our service and our patients.
“Hannah supported all staff, both clinical and non-clinical, equally to ensure the go-live of Apollo EPR was successful. She shared her knowledge to ensure that everyone she interacted with felt positive about the change.
“It’s been challenging for her at times, with so many staff, wanting her help, but she managed it with grace and kindness.”
The RJAH Stars Award is a monthly staff recognition initiative that celebrates individuals or teams who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to patient care, teamwork, and hospital values.
Hannah said: “I’m honoured to have been presented with the RJAH Stars Award. I want to say thank you to the Main Outpatients Team for the nomination – it means a lot to be recognised by such a dedicated team.
“Every day I’m inspired by the dedication, compassion and teamwork that define our hospital. Being part of this environment makes it easy to give your best, and I’m grateful to contribute in any way I can.”
Winners receive a certificate, voucher and chocolates in recognition of their efforts from Stacey Keegan, Chief Executive – thanks to the League of Friends.
Stacey said: “Hannah has made an outstanding contribution to our Apollo EPR implementation. She demonstrated professionalism and kindness, supporting colleagues.
“This award is very well deserved.”
