The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital (RJAH) is calling on people to get sporty, challenge themselves, and make a difference with its exciting new fundraising initiative – 20Thrive.

RJAH Charity is encouraging supporters to take on a fitness challenge in 2025. This series of sporting events offers participants the chance to get active, set personal goals and raise vital funds to support patients and staff at RJAH.

Whether it's running, cycling, swimming, or another challenge, 20Thrive provides an opportunity for people of all abilities to take part, have fun and make a real difference.

The charity already offers spaces with TCS London Marathon – which proves popular amongst supporters and often has a waiting list each year. 20Thrive aims to build on this, offering up different opportunities for those wishing to support RJAH in this way.

Adding to the excitement, RJAH Charity has been named as a charity partner for the Chirk 10k, organised by Adrenaline Sports – opening up even more chances for people to get involved and show their support.

Victoria Sugden, Charity Director for RJAH Charity, said: “We’re so excited to launch 20Thrive and encourage our community to get active while supporting RJAH.

“Every step, pedal, or swim stroke will help us make a huge difference to our patients and staff.

“We’re also delighted to be named a charity partner for the Chirk 10k – it’s going to be a fantastic event, and we can’t wait to see our supporters take on the challenge!”

Alan Lewis, Owner and Founder of Adrenaline Sports, said: “I'm thrilled to be partnering up with RJAH Charity for the Chirk 10k 2025.

“We look forward to working with the team and helping them raise vital funds for the hospital – I can't wait to see everyone on the start line on the 13th July.”

Stacey Keegan, RJAH CEO, ran the London Marathon for RJAH in 2022. She said: “Running the London Marathon for RJAH Charity was an unforgettable experience.

“The atmosphere, the challenge and the incredible support made it so rewarding – especially knowing I was helping to make a difference for our patients and staff.

“20Thrive is a fantastic opportunity for more people to get involved, push themselves, and support RJAH in a way that suits them."

Anyone wanting to take part in the Chirk 10k should contact RJAH Charity directly. Participants will receive a code and instructions to register their charity place through Adrenaline Sports.
