Neil Turner
Public Governor for Cheshire and Merseyside
Neil has been a patient at RJAH for a number of years, after having two operations at the hospital, commenting on how the care and professionalism of the staff impressed him that he jumped at the opportunity to join the Council of Governors.
With a background in public relations, media relationships and crisis management, Neil is semi-retired with a couple of retained consultancies with national high street retailers, as well as sports broadcaster for the BBC and journalist for various newspapers.
Outside of business, he has always been involved in sport, predominately football and athletics, having played semi-professional football and represented Great Britain in hurdling.
Neil was elected as Public Governor for Cheshire and Merseyside in 2024.
