Kate Betts

Staff Governor

Kate joined RJAH in 1994 as a Healthcare Assistant on the Midland Centre for Spinal Injuries (MCSI) before joining the Therapies team as a Physiotherapy Assistant in 2001. Kate is currently a Rehabilitation Technician on MCSI.

Kate's role involves supporting spinal cord injury patients rehabilitation and working with the rest of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. Kate is also a big advocate for an individual and holistic approach to rehabilitation, and tailors the care and support she provides depending on the patient.

Over the many years she has worked at RJAH, she's seen many changes and understands that whilst change for some will have a positive impact, it can also make life more challenging for others. She believes clear communication makes change better.

Outside of work, Kate can be found walking her dog or sitting on the back of a motorbike touring around different places.
