Clair Hobbs
Interim Chief Nurse and Patient Safety Officer
Clair joined RJAH on a six-month secondment in March 2026, arriving from Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust, where she was Director of Nursing and Clinical Delivery.
A registered nurse, she has a wealth of experience in both acute Trusts and community services. Clair joined Shropcom in 2021. Before that, she was the Deputy Chief Nurse at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) for two years.
Previous roles include Ward Manager in Cardiology, Community Matron for long-term conditions, Senior Matron in Adult Community Services across the city of Wolverhampton, and Divisional Head of Nursing at New Cross Hospital for the surgical Division including Theatres, Critical Care and Cannock Hospital.
She is passionate about improving patient care for our communities. Clair is a champion for driving quality improvement by caring for colleagues; giving everyone a voice, opportunities to grow and focusing on wellbeing.
