These information films are for those having knee replacement surgery.

Please be reassured that there is no explicit medical imagery in the film; you will not see any operations, blood or needles.

  This film shows the entire patient journey from arrival at the pre op clinic for the initial assessment to the physiotherapy and final x-ray after the operation before returning home. Knowing what to expect will work towards making the whole process smoother. This film introduces a whole range of professionals and explains their roles; a wide range of staff are involved, so knowing who they are and understanding their roles makes things less daunting on the day.
  
  This is the first film in a two part sequence; once you have watched this film it is highly recommended that you watch the Activities After Knee Replacement Surgery film.

• Activities After Knee Replacement Surgery 
  
  This film demonstrates exercises and techniques that will make it easier for patients to get back on their feet after knee replacement surgery. The film covers everyday activities such as getting in and out of bed etc. It also shows the key knee exercises that really speed up the recovery process. These exercises help patients to regain a normal range of movement and strengthen the muscles around the knee.
  
  This is the second film in a two part sequence; if you have not already done so it is advised that you watch the Knee Replacement Surgery film prior to watching this film.
