Public Governor - Rest of England and Wales

Phil, a former member of RJAH staff in the Pharmacy Team, lives in Royal Wootton Bassett, Swindon.

After completing his students at London University, Phil qualified as a Pharmacist in 1989 - initially working in Leeds across a wide variety of specialities. He joined RJAH in 2005 and in 2009, he became the Trust’s Lead Pharmacist for the Medicine division and took a keen interest in the prevention and treatment of blood clots, as well as specialising in Rheumatology and General Medicine on Sheldon Ward. 

After leaving RJAH in 2017, Phil went to Work in Wales leading to his involvement in the Transforming Access to Medicines Review for the Welsh Government. He is the current chair for the Welsh Homecare Medicines Committee, undertakes independent consultancy and the treasurer for Rheumatology Pharmacists UK.

Phil is looking forward to bringing his clinical knowledge to the Council of Governors at RJAH.
