Colette Gribble

Public Governor - North Wales

Colette has lived in the Colwyn Bay area for the last 40 years.

Initially a music and English teacher, she worked for the Home Office from 1970 until 1974 in the first purpose-built secure unit for young people who had committed serious Section 53 offences. She then moved to Dorset, before coming to North Wales to complete her master’s at Bangor University with her husband, an art teacher, and young daughter.

Her career in education continued and she trained with ESTYN and OFSTED as an additional School Inspector and has worked extensively around the UK.

In her role of Governor, Colette is keen to allow patients and staff to have a voice and ensure high standards are continuously met.
