Research Day 2024

Our Annual Research Day is on Friday 7th June 2024. At this day we have a mix of basic science presentations and posters highlighting current work. The event is intended to support closer working between our clinical researchers and our basic scientists with an opportunity for networking with representatives from key academic partners.

Our Chief Executive, Stacey Keegan and Research Director, Andrew Roberts give an overview of the Trust's commitment and actions concerning research to the clinical and basic science staff. A basic science section then runs in the morning in the Leopold Muller Arthritis Centre whilst a parallel clinical session runs in the Institute of Orthopaedics lecture theatre. In the afternoon, the best of the basic science and clinical research presentations are given in an alternating fashion with a prizegiving for the best clinical (Professor's Medal) and basic science (The Golden Test-Tube).

Keynote lecturers are present for the morning and the afternoon sessions.
