Dr Rudge’s research interests include acute pain, enhanced recovery and perioperative care. His work has been presented internationally and nationally and published widely in the literature.

Dr Rudge holds degrees in Biomedical Science (BSc Hons, Sheffield) and Medicine (MBChB Hons, Birmingham). Dr Rudge was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists by examination in 2017.

Dr Rudge joined The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in February 2024.

Dr Rudge completed his advanced Registrar training at RJAH, specialising in regional and orthopaedic anaesthesia; He joining as a Consultant Anaesthetist in 2024. Dr Rudge has held an honorary academic tutor position at The College of Medical and Dental Sciences, The University of Birmingham, since 2014.
