Information for staff

This page is currently in development, please come back soon - we will be adding information and resources to help RJAH staff develop their research projects on a regular basis.

The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (RJAH), a leading orthopaedic centre of excellence, aims to deliver outstanding patient care enhanced by high quality patient-centred research and Innovation.

The Research support team is here to help all members of staff, whether novice or experienced researcher, wishing to get involved in research.  It provides a full support service covering all stages of a research study from protocol design, applying for funding, study set up, management and data analysis.

If you are thinking about starting a research project, please speak with us as early as you can; our experienced Research Project Managers are able to offer advice and assistance with study design  and can also advise you on what information you will need to submit a research application and obtain Trust approval. If your research study requires funding we are able to identify suitable funding sources and play a pivotal role in writing grants.

If you have been invited to be a Local Principle Investigator of a clinical trial or other research study for another organisation, please contact us as soon as possible.

Why not visit the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) webpages where you can find a range of resources to support colleagues in getting involved with research, and help you to encourage more patients to take part in research.
