Clinical/Research Interests:
Miss Shepherd's interests include bone and soft tissue sarcoma, benign musculoskeletal tumours, metastasis disease, patient experience, quality of life for sarcoma patients and teaching and training.
Qualifications:
Miss Shepherd first qualified as a Therapeutic Radiographer and then went on to complete a PhD in Quality of Life and Treatment Outcomes in Cancer.
She then trained at Sheffield School of Medicine before undergoing higher surgical training in the Yorkshire region, to include major trauma and limb reconstriction. She completed her Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Edinburgh. Fellowship training in orthopaedic oncology was undertaken at RJAH.
