Armed Forces Covenant

As a supporter of the Armed Forces and an employer of Reservists, RJAH are proud to be a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Armed Forces Covenant was signed in August 2017.

The NHS supports the health commitments of the Armed Forces Covenant, which is a promise by the nation to ensure those who serve or who have served in the UK Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

By signing the Covenant, RJAH pledged its support as an employer and health organisation to the Armed Forces.

The RJAH supports the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, which encourages employers to support defence and inspire others to do the same.

The scheme encompasses bronze, silver and gold awards for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and the armed forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant. 

We are proud to hold the Gold Award, and we are committed to supporting the Armed Forces community and maintaining fair treatment to all.
