Exciting opportunities at Nurse Recruitment Days
Release Date: 08/02/2017
Nurses are being urged to apply for a number of exciting vacancies at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital – ahead of two recruitment days that could see them going home with a new job.
An event for ward roles will take place on the morning of Saturday 4 March (9am to 12 noon), while a separate event for nurses interested in Theatre roles will take place on Sunday 12 March (10am to 1pm).
Both days will see the hospital’s main entrance transformed into a hub where visiting nurses can meet with different teams.
A similar event in November proved a huge success, with 24 nurses being interviewed on the day, and 17 of those leaving with offers of employment.
Bev Tabernacle, Director of Nursing, said: “We were delighted with how well our first recruitment day went, and would hope nurses can see that this is a great way to come and have a good look at us, and very possibly leave with a job offer.
“We’ve decided to hold two separate days this time, so we can give more focus to the distinct Ward and Theatre roles that we have to offer.
“This is a fantastic place to be a nurse,” added Bev. “We’re looking for experienced or newly qualified nurses to join our teams; we have a fantastic support framework for these nurses to support development and progression.
“We want nurses who show compassion and exhibit the behaviours which will enable them to deliver excellent care to our patients.
“Full and part-time posts are available, we can also offer rotational posts to widen the experience of those nurses who may want to work with us.”
Sue Pryce, Deputy Director of Human Resources said: “The service the hospital provides is growing rapidly. We want enthusiastic, skilled nurses to fill the roles that are now appearing because of these expansions.
“Our last recruitment day was a big success and proved to be a great way to reach out to those candidates who could do well in the Trust. It’s also a great way of showing what we do for staff in terms of careers and education. Sometimes an advert doesn’t do it justice.
“However we always want to hear from potential staff, through the recruitment day or otherwise. There are always new opportunities appearing if you check the NHS Jobs page regularly.”
If you are interested in attending the day, please let us know in advance by contacting our HR team in 01691 404390 email@example.com.
